Contact Lens Product Information
1-Day Acuvue Moist contact lenses are designed to keep your eyes hydrated and comfortable all day long. They are made with Johnson & Johnson's exclusive LACREON Technology, which helps to prevent irritation and dryness. These daily disposable lenses also offer one of the highest levels of UV protection available in a daily disposable contact lens.
Features & Benefits
1-Day Acuvue Moist contacts are designed to be worn for up to 14 hours at a time and then replaced with a fresh pair. However, it is important to consult with your eye care professional to determine the appropriate wearing time for your individual needs. These exceptionally comfortable lenses are made with LACREON Technology, which helps to keep them hydrated and prevent irritation by incorporating a water-holding ingredient similar to that found in natural tears into the lens material.
" Lacreon technology from Johnson & Johnson keeps moisture in, creating a long-lasting cushion of moisture for 20 hours or more. "
1-Day Acuvue Moist contact lenses provide excellent UV protection, blocking approximately 97% of UVB and 82% of UVA rays. However, it is important to note that these lenses do not cover the entire eye and should not be used as a replacement for proper UV-absorbing eyewear.
These contacts are made of a high-quality hydrogel material called etafilcon A, which contains a wetting agent called polyvinylpyrrolidone to mimic the natural tear film. The material has a high water content of 58% and has an excellent safety profile. In fact, a 2017 case-control study found that daily disposable lenses made of etafilcon A are associated with a lower risk of corneal infection compared to other lens materials.
In addition to providing excellent UV protection and comfort, 1-Day Acuvue Moist contacts are also available in near- and farsighted prescriptions
Who Should Use These Lenses?
1-Day Acuvue Moist contact lenses are an excellent choice for individuals with sensitive eyes who want the convenience of a daily disposable lens option. These lenses are particularly well-suited for people who experience dryness, irritation, or allergies when wearing contacts. Additionally, because they provide enhanced hydration, 1-Day Acuvue Moist contacts are also a good option for people with dry eyes.
These daily disposable lenses are perfect for individuals with busy or active lifestyles who don't want to worry about maintaining a lens care routine. They are also available in near- and farsighted prescriptions, making them ideal for people with myopia (nearsightedness) or hyperopia (farsightedness).
Instructions for Inserting 1-Day Acuvue Moist Contact Lenses
To insert 1-Day Acuvue Moist contact lenses, follow the standard procedure for soft disposable contacts. Begin by washing and drying your hands thoroughly. Then, use the index finger of your dominant hand to remove a lens from the case and rinse it with multipurpose solution. Check the lens to ensure it has a curved, bowl-like shape.
Next, use the fingers of your dominant hand to hold down your lower eyelid and look upward. Gently place the lens on your eye and blink several times to help it settle into place. Repeat these steps with the other lens.
When 1-Day Acuvue Moist lenses are inserted and centered properly, they can be worn for up to 14 hours with minimal irritation.
