1-Day Acuvue Moist contact lenses provide excellent UV protection, blocking approximately 97% of UVB and 82% of UVA rays. However, it is important to note that these lenses do not cover the entire eye and should not be used as a replacement for proper UV-absorbing eyewear.
These contacts are made of a high-quality hydrogel material called etafilcon A, which contains a wetting agent called polyvinylpyrrolidone to mimic the natural tear film. Instructions for Inserting 1-Day Acuvue Moist Contact Lenses
To insert 1-Day Acuvue Moist contact lenses, follow the standard procedure for soft disposable contacts. Begin by washing and drying your hands thoroughly. Then, use the index finger of your dominant hand to remove a lens from the case and rinse it with multipurpose solution. Check the lens to ensure it has a curved, bowl-like shape.
Next, use the fingers of your dominant hand to hold down your lower eyelid and look upward. Gently place the lens on your eye and blink several times to help it settle into place. Repeat these steps with the other lens.
When 1-Day Acuvue Moist lenses are inserted and centered properly, they can be worn for up to 14 hours with minimal irritation.
